LLTF’s “Walk for Prems” event is Australia’s largest national event of its kind, highlighting and bringing awareness to the hardships and extraordinary achievements that families of sick and premature babies go through. Through ongoing support of this event, LLTF can continue to offer the vital support and funding needed by these families. We are pleased to support this wonderful charity through the donation of Haakaa products to their “Precious Prem Pack”, which is offered to the parents of premature or sick babies as a way to provide practical support and useful information during an otherwise stressful and hard time. As mentioned by LLTF, their Precious Prem Packs are deliberately sourced in collaboration with parents who have been through this journey already and reviewed by trusted health professionals. As many of you may know, pregnancies with multiple babies come with a higher risk of premature birth, alongside added physical and mental stresses of carrying and preparing for more than one child at a time. In honour of the parents of multiples, LLTF held their first “Twin’s Tribute Day” on the aptly chosen date of 22.02.22, to acknowledge and honour the journey these families go through. On the back of the success of this campaign, LLTF expanded this further in 2023 by initiating their “Twins and Triplets Tribute Day”, adjusting the date this time to 23.02.2023. Alongside boosting social awareness across our social media platforms, Haakaa was delighted to host a giveaway promotion to members of our online community who shared their twin and triplet stories with us, further increasing social awareness of the challenges these families face. This giveaway saw winners select from either our “Feeder’s Pack”, “Expecting Pack”, or the “Care Pack”, all with products designed to support their parenthood journey with multiples.

It’s also been an honour to support LLTF’s 2022 “Walk for Prems” event in Melbourne by providing a “Family Room Marquee” – a quiet and private space where families could retreat to change their little ones or feed them in peace. While we couldn’t be there in person to show our support, the team at Haakaa decked themselves out in supporters gear and participated in a virtual walk, some 2,600km away! We look forward to the 2023 event in October and have our walking shoes ready!
